What thread should I use when sewing 100% cotton interlock?
Mettler's Metrosene 100/2 Polyester Plus works beautifully on cotton interlock and has the added strength needed to prevent broken seams when the fabric is stretched.
Take care to use a Stretch or Ballpoint needle when stitching on cotton interlock. Using a Sharp or Universal needle may result in the needle cutting the knit fibers, creating a small hole that will grow or run as the garment is worn and laundered.
